Best and Fairest – Bailey Jones (Captain)
The coaching staff did not select a captain for the merged team immediately as we decided to wait to see if any player would rise to the challenge. After 6 weeks it was evident that Bailey’s leadership skills were shining through on and off the field. He was rewarded with the captaincy and performed this role with the utmost dedication showing maturity far beyond his years.
Bailey had stamped his presence with great athletic ability and his tenacity to attack the ball with no concern for his safety. His could run through packs and back himself, taking some great marks. He consistently put in solid performances every game and was justly rewarded with the best and fairest for the u15s in 2011.
Well done Bailey!

Runner up Best and Fairest - Charlie Summers
Known to his friends as ‘Chandler, Chuck or Paulie’, Charlie was appointed vice captain in 2011. As a ruckman he had developed a reputation for a non holds barred attitude dominating the position. He was also used across the forward line and distinguished himself as a reliable target in that area.
Charlie was also awarded the honour of being selected in the YJFL interleague side and was invited to the YJFL best and fairest and certainly one to watch out for in the future.

3rd Best and Fairest - Tagan Carter-Taylor
Knicknamed ‘The Birdman’ after his efforts to reach the outer atmosphere when marking, Tagan has all the qualities of a great junior player. Blistering pace, left and right foot kicker and can launch a kick accurately well outside the arc that resulted in some memorable goals.
He only plays one way, ‘hard ball, as many dazed opposition players will testify. Certainly a player who will keep entertaining everyone.
Well done to Tagan for being selected for the YJFL interleague side and being invited to the YJFL’s best and fairest.

Most Improved - Logan O’Brien
A regular on the flanks and wings, a superb runner and great ball carrier. He has stepped up this year , his kicking efficiency improved out of sight and he made the most of his possessions.
His commitment, attitude towards training and development was not lost on the coaching staff. A worthy winner of the award. |

Most Courageous - Ben Galdolfo
Known affectionately as ‘Mr Nasty’ or the ‘Silent Assassin’, I had pity for any opposition player who was unlucky enough to be anywhere near Benny with the ball as their fate was quickly sealed He is a master of text book tackling.
A beautiful marker of the ball, he played on every occasion, such was his confidence in his ability.
He was rewarded with countless free kicks throughout the season and deservedly finished high up in the votes.

Best team player - Danny Fotinatos
Appointed as the 2nd vice captain .
Danny played across the half back line for most of the season and relished the challenge of playing up against some talented opposition centre half forwards.
He was also used when required as a tagger to nullify any problem players. Always willing to get that ball at all costs and send it back into a attack into the waiting arms of his team mates.
