Team captain Matt Vogel took out the Best and Fairest. You are never in doubt with Matt, he is fast, skilled efficient and leads by example. Matt is an inside midfielder, skilled on both sides and cool in a crisis. He is a worthy recipient of the Best and Fairest.
Runner Up Best & Fairest – Tom Corboy
Tom Corboy, takes out the runner up best and fairest. Tom is one of the hardest and fittest blokes going around. We don’t know if he has a preferred side. He is the master of the high mark.
3rd Best & Fairest – Ken Thomas
Kenny Thomas took out the 3rd best and fairest by the thinnest of margins. Kenny finds space where there is none. He uses blistering pace, and is the master of the low driving kick.
Most Improved – Jeremy Thiel
Most improved award goes to Jez Thiel. Jeremy has been part of this team from the beginning of under 10s. Over the years he has done it all, after taking the full back role from AK, he then needed to move into the ruck. It was a new level he needed to reach, and he did it.
Coaches Award – Pat Mitchell
Pat Mitchell has always been a great and versatile footballer but this year he became the teams “go to” man, he ran in the centre, he took roles at full forward and full back, and never showed anything but complete dedication to the team in his attitude and execution, Pat has integrity and substance and brings others along with him, he is the winner of the 2011 coaches award.
